Keeping Ships Moving, Wherever They Go

When a ship is out at sea, time is critical. A thruster that fails, a bow thruster that starts leaking or doesn't cooperate, or an overhaul that gets delayed can quickly turn into costly downtime. That’s when I step in, to keep your vessel running, your schedule on track, and your crew moving forward.

I'm Tiemens, a freelance marine service engineer and propulsion expert. I have years of experience working on azimuth thrusters, controllable pitch propellers (CPP), fixed pitch propellers (FPP), bow thrusters, and tail shafts. My strongest experience is with Schottel and Kongsberg, but I've worked for several brands, quickly adapting, trouble-shooting, and delivering projects on time.

What I Do Best

I assist OEMs, marine service providers, shipyards, and vessel owners who require additional hands or specialized expertise.

My activities entail:

Sometimes I’m the additional engineer a team needs. Sometimes, I’m the link between a ship operator and the OEM, ensuring that everything goes as smoothly as possible from beginning to end.

Why Hire Me?

I’m located in Curaçao, at the center of the Caribbean. That provides me with two benefits:

Global flexibility

I operate in the Netherlands, Caribbean, South America, and globally.

Competitive prices

working out of Curaçao reduces costs compared to the Netherlands, while still maintaining quality.

Due to conditions of warranties, I don't undertake huge projects on my own. Rather, I partner with larger service providers and manufacturers. They receive a trusted, competent engineer when they need one, without needing to hire long-term.
